Hello.
I have a question.
I'm trying to create in solidworks the cad of a robotic arm.

for now I have dedicated myself to the development of the terminal orgnano (pinza type) and the link+joint and actuator of the wrist.

in the cad of the clamp and the link I used two different assemblies that I would now join.

However I'm finding a problem. when I insert the second together as a component, the couplings and in particular the cinematisms of this second part are no longer working. I'll explain. If, for example, I enter the assembly already created the second group contenting the joint more links the latter should rotate along a common axis but inserting there at a very close this property is lost.

How can I join the two assemblies?
or do I have to create a unique set to work on?

Thank you.

in the properties of the second set you must set "flexible" in the option at the bottom right.
practically:
right button on the incriminated axieme (in the feature manager)
opens a pop-up with 4 tabs.
in the one that appears by default on the bottom right you will find the possibility to defi nire the axieme "rigido" or "flexible".

for more understanding read the guidehttp://help.solidworks.com/2010/italian/solidworks/sldworks/legacyhelp/sldworks/assem_1/flexible_sub-assemblies.htm?id=4e1d1ad02b274c0891138c3e5ac5b0ad

Hi.
I did this but the problem persists!!! I don't know what to do

in the axieme that you would make flexible you set the constraints you want to "use" in the main axieme?
setting "flexible" means making active the constraints/cinematisms you have in the axieme of origin in the axieme in which you insert it, therefore if the axieme of origin is totally bound or does not contain the degrees of freedom you need you will not get the desired result.

thank you I'm trying to solve! now I see
