Hello, who can I compare keyshot, bunkspeed and fryrender? they seem all identical, at least judging from their site (you can see the structure of their sites looks the same).
You mean shot?
They are not identical at all, indeed they are very different.
keyshot is an engine with progressive refinement, (or preview of render) and final calculation, which mainly works with hdri maps, and is the cpu running the calculation.
good results, and speed.
shot does the same thing, but the eve of rendering is physically correct, (unbiased) dealing with iray, which can be found in 3d study, and works both on cpu and on gpu, through cuda. with the last generation gpus is a splinter, practically calculates the scenes to the flight, but for those with complex lighting as the interiors are recommended several video cards in parallel, and if the scenes to be made demand great quantities of ram, they are problems, because the maximum gtx have 3 giga of ram (the 580) and the tesla with 6 giga coast a tombola, so it is not good for scenes with many objects, trees, if it calculates the only cpu is slow, given the high quality of yield. if you do design objects, cars, exteriors not too extensive, it is fine, but in my opinion at least it still needs two video cards, possibly two gtx 580 with three giga of vram(only nvidia)
fryrender is also an unbiased engine, maximum quality, maximum features (the other two have some limitations for shader compssi) goes on cpu (for gpu they make arion, similar to shot) and therefore it is slow, for now it does not have the preview to render, it must be alongside arior for this (double purchase) but in the future they will put it.
use system ram, and well, so no limit.
if you are interested, maxwel is very similar to fryrender (even if the quality would still be higher) but has the preview to make the window, and goes on cpu.
Why should one choose one of these 3 and not the very well known 3d studio max or 4d cinema, perhaps with vray? only for a matter of costs or is there anything else?
If it is for this reason there are in bizzeffe of engines to render, and all of the highest quality, is a little like the cars, why choose one regarding another? cost, design, performance, driving etc. sw have different interface and use, very different prices, unbalanced performance on quality or speed, depends on the use it does.
3d studio costs more than four thousand euros, and if you do not want to use mind ray+iray integrated, for vray you have to add 900, same thing cinema 4d, with much less cost, are sw dealing with thousand different things, animation particles, etc, not only render. some instead are specialized only for rendering, they are very simple to use, they often have all the necessary, like texture materials etc, and they cost less.
must also understand what you use them, which sw (solidwork? ) besides what make you do, therefore choose what you interface better, then also the hardware you have or you want to take.
