Hello.

I created writings with the text command on details that should be mounted on our forer with solidworks 2009.
I forwarded them to the company that must perform laser cuts, but when they open it with the program cad cam of the laser the dxf is not as complete as I see it; that is certain lines are not complete but dotted as if the sketch was not well defined. I tried to open the dxf even with autocad and zooming well in fact it is seen that certain lines of the letters are not coincident.

has it ever happened to you? ?

Yes.
uses exclusively lines and circle arches. better if only lines. do not leave spaces between the various elements.
the text must be retaken almost always by hand.

if you want only lines just set the export options dwg/dxf with export the spline as polyline.

if you make some line overlap the cutting software complains!

I after so many andirivieni of dxf file I decided to always remake all geometries taking the command line, popping up the nearest osnap and with a myriad of clicks the game is done.

seems a long operation (it is!) but it is shorter than the etherivieni mentioned before.
