Good evening to all,
I ask a question, whose answer I already know is negative, but hope is the last to die.
Moreover, it has been widely spoken in the forum, but here my question is different.

is it possible to work in 3d on a remote pc?
exists software and/or a setting of such software that allows you to have a cad3d software on a remote pc, connect to remote desktop from another pc and manage to work smoothly?

doing two accounts, in lan, and worse still in wifi, the band is not sufficiently wide to have 20fps at 1680x1050...but maybe some semi-quadro update tricks, roi...that I know... they make many magic with the computer.. .

tried realvnc, but...the rotation of the 3d is anything but fluid. menus open late, etc.

any advice/experience?

I bought premium teamviewer and I'm pretty good. Of course it is not a solution to work always, at least I prefer to work on the local pc. However you lose in reactivity, the colors of the monitor are "approved", etc...
it would be really interesting because you could save a lot when you work out of office by being able to buy a notebook from 3 money and without any maintenance expenses / updates on that notebook.

Then a lot depends on the band, if you're in a place with very little band, how do you do it?

Yeah, okay, I didn't talk from the internet... I'd like to make it work by saturating the wifi band. or lan, although the solution I like less.

my idea would be a powerful machine with above installed a basic version of the operating system, beautiful slender and fast, only the software of cad 3d and no office, mail client, internet connection and various dances. all these things would be on the "passacarte" pc.

in this way, the mule is unloading of rafts and its strong legs serve only to bring gold to the top of the mountain, and all the raft brings a pc "passacarte"

If you use windows you could try with the " desktop remote", if you haven't tried, that's the native windows application for this kind of use.

I still keep everything on the pc on which I work (cad, mail, browser, openoffice, etc etc.) and I never had any sensitive issues due to this.

but you are notoriously not forced to intensively use small soft products!

remote desktop is faster than others...but the "passacarte" is linux...

I don't want to say a cabbage but I'm sure that the remote desktop can also be used by a linux client.

the only bond is that on the windows server you have to have winxp professional (the home edition is not good).
