layers in 3ds max

Hello everyone are new to the forum.
I was sent a file in 3ds max, I should change the latter but when I go to select a layer they all select, i.e. selecting a layer instead select only the object connected to the respective layer you select all objects (and vice versa).

in practice in the drop-down window all layers are part of one group.

how do I "divide" layers so I have separate objects.

I attach an image.

but is it not that the objects are grouped into a group??? ?
select the object and see if the group menu activates the voice to open it and/or 'explode it'.

thanks endless dieva was just this the problem, I went on group and I crushed agroup.

as I said it is recently that I use 3ds, still thank you.
