hi I am looking for (with enormous effort and time loss) to use inventor to put into operation a layout of an industrial production plant to be inserted in an existing shed that I have provided to draw, the plant is accompanied by numerous sub-plants, groups pumps, gases10, vacuums, pipes and what else the disarming thing and that if I have to change the position of a new group
I wanted to know if I can use tricks for positioning groups of components while keeping them singular, in short, create "blocks" of assemblies and
position them using only 3 total constraints instead of 3 constraints for each component.
I could use the function raises level / lowers level but this I would not want to create problems when I go to make the piping or changes between the various pieces.

you could create a part in which I sketch out schematically drawing the position of your assemblies (a rectangle for the group pumps etc., simply rectangles and quoti regarding a origin or whatever you want. this part insert it into the lay-out and all your assimis ties them to the sketch of the part in correspondence of the corresponding geometry. doing so for all your groups, if you want to change the position you just edit the sketch of the part you entered, update and move your groups.
