level of detail with serial elements

hello to all
together:
in a level of detail I want to show only the first element of a series.
to do this the only way I found, is to enter the series and suppress all the elements (less the first of course).
only that when reactive the main detail level, the serial elements remain suppressed.
Any solutions?
