Good day to all.

I write after a long time. I have worked in the last 4 years mainly with solid works, using inventor only for sporadic changes of old projects and not having a consolidated basis for using this. now I have changed company, where they use inventor. I don't really have a role to draw anymore, but I need to use it every now and then. I know that, in the separate parts, there is the possibility to "hide" a set to display the components that make it up. I did a test by building a set1 with screw and washer, then bringing it back to a set2 (with n° 3 together1). I can hide together1 and see n° 3 screws and n° 3 washers.

But I can't do this in the existing assemblies, or the company's projects.

I wanted to ask what are the variables in play that can allow this function or not.

you differ between my test set and those present in the assemblies of the various projects there is that my set is saved on my c, while the rest is on the inventor vault. But I don't think the fact that having the axioms on the vault can block the thing...

Thank you.

hi, I don't know if I understood well but still to hide a set (service) seeing only the parts that make it up, you have to set the axieme as hidden in the separate structure tools > separate document settings > hidden components (from the drop-down menu) this change has effect only in the distinct structured components.
I don't know if that's what you were looking for.

good morning, if the axioms are in vault, to do this (which in fact modifies the structured distinct) they must be extracted to be able to change them.

In fact to make a copy it is not necessary to extract the axieme, provided that they have not changed settings in recent years. (now it is already a few years that I do not use vault).

Have I lost something or is the question about hiding separate components? I didn't see the copy part...

azz you're right I thought it was the answer to another discussion where we were talking about copying
