list of overlapping elements

Hello everyone, I have a question to ask you.
there is the possibility of having the list of overlapping elements in v17 exactly how it worked in v16.
in v16 it was very comfortable because it appeared only when necessary and that is in wireframe and transparent shading.
in v17, on the other hand, it always appears in full shading and at a certain point it becomes unnerving.
I explain with a simple example.I have a cube,I put myself in the plant.I want to delete the upper face by selecting it with a single click,instead I appear the list that asks me to choose between the two posssibility that in this case are either the upper or the lower one.it is a waste of unnecessary time besides the fact that it becomes as I said unnerving.in v16 instead it worked great.
Does anyone have any remedies? ?

Just disable the command and you can do it from the bar that is located at the bottom right.
when it is active you will see a green flag on the icon when a red cross is disabled and however pointing it with the mouse appears the label you cannot miss.
However I normally turned it off and this perhaps means that somewhere there is a default setting to select but I don't know where.

the function according to me as it is now significantly improved, the fact of being able to have it active only in 2 modes was limiting, so instead active when you care as it also says endrio1 and the disactive just finished.
to set it or not by default just go to system\set external parameters and on the active or disable user interface tab list overlapping elements, I work with the tab disabled and I am not absolutely bad, alternatively you can always use, instead of the icon as you did in the old versions, the keyboard shift key when needed.
