Good morning, everyone!
I am a dummy and therefore forgive the question that will most likely be trivial. I'll tell you my problem. I should make a molding (in particular a smooth ovolo, as is technically defined) that runs along the entire parapet of a historical bridge.
to draw it I made simply a closed polyline consisting of two segments placed between them at 90° and an arc that unites them. My intention was to transform polylinea into a region, and then extrude it along a path (the profile of the parapet in question).
My problem is that in the transformation into the region, the arc loses its curvature and its profile becomes segmented. I have obviously tried to act on all those commands and variables I know, which can overcome this difficulty (facetres, viewres, options and display, display in 2d wireframe etc. etc.).
the truth is that, beyond the visualization, the arc of this region (and therefore the solid that I should obtain once extruded along the path) when printed it still appears as if it were a series of segments.
to make it short I can not maintain the curve shape that the arch initially possesses, when the polylinea is transformed into a region. and this problem extends, of course, also to the solid extrusion that should be the son of the region in question. the problem remains in the press. attached a simple explanatory file. I hope you can help me. I therefore advance my thanks for your availability.
