Good morning to all,
I just started trying to use textures.
I took a photo to a painted peeled surface that I intend to reproduce on my models.
I applied it as a texture to the whole model and I know that the image is not applied to the surfaces as "refresh glues" but it is the single image that adapts to the dimensions of the surfaces, causing distortions (see image a.png).
I then read the guide and put on my own, redefining the "color placement" by redefining its repeating parameters x and y, I got the result of the b.png image.
At this point, I think I am sufficiently satisfied, but the method is quite Moroccan.

Do you know how to give me advice to handle the textures? How are you doing?

thanks and good day

I give myself an answer.. .
I found a simple way to handle the problem:
I made symmetrical between them the 4 squares of the texture image that I created to limit the flaws of alignment.
then in the window "color placement" imposed mapping: flat and added the x and y values of the "fill" fields.
I am very satisfied! ! !
