Hello, Ragaz.
I was doing some rendering tests with renderworks and I came across a problem. I can't control the location of the hdri map background to rendering! I used a flat and not spherical hdri image. I can move it to right and left using the rotation command from the background editing panel based on ambient lighting, but I can't adjust its position up and down. Do you have any tricks to recommend?

I honestly can't answer you. for matters of time, which I never, ever, make with artlantis. I rarely use renderworks, just if I need to check shadows.
I hope there's someone who can answer you. :-)
I do.

I also use artlantis and renderworks only to have a sort of "preview" while project!

I find the artlantis option interesting as the most effective alternative to renderworks.
I wanted to know if there are problems of "neck" between applications (I have vw 2008 and 2011) or if the import export is smooth in the two senses to be able to reshape any changes on the base file.

thanks in advance

I always use the export of atlases. . we say it works well, even if it has some gaps. for example does not recognize the stratification of walls and floors.. .

the two sofware dialogue quite well thanks to the export plugin that allows to export the model 3d from vw to artlantis. Some magna sometimes comes out, for example in the export of complex polygons but, in principle, considering my working times, has always done its duty with satisfaction. :-)
when I change the 3d model on vw, I carry updating the previous export and reopen the file in artlantis that kept all the settings already assigned.
I suggest you try the demo of artlantis, on the site you also find the export plugin for vw 2011.
I do.
