Hello everyone,
I am new member of the forum and it is my first discussion. ....
I carry out the work of programmer cam and the software I use is mastercam x4.
I look for material that can give me further knowledge of the software;
for precision I look for a specific clarification on the use of the surface processing the manual is not very clear about it.Premit that I have already faced types of works that have led me to use some of these functions with satisfactory outcome. I also look for everything that can serve me to understand and face work on the 5 axis (I must admit that I am profane).....in more if someone could help me decipher that incomprecessor what is the editor! :smile:

if I can help you on surface processing.. Gladly. about changing the post depends on what you want to change. ask then!! !

the customization of the post proccesor, you have to understand that types of changes you have to do and if that provided and was built on the needs of the milling machine.

if they are trivial and are with basic posts, it is quite simple, a suggestion and open the post and add comments and see the result on the generation, so as to portray the routine that creates it.

if it can be useful to send me the post and the file generated with and without changes, which I give you suggestions.

Hello everyone,
as regards the post processor I would like to understand the structure and as a result how the instructions that the post generates in such a way that I can change them (like the rotation of the table, the tool change tool comments.....forse nn I explain).
For example, I know that the macro of the tool change is called ptlchange$.....from I managed to change the call of the tool change according to the maquina codes....at this moment I went trying to call the uterus ray corrector to the call of the latter in order to have concealers inside the subprograms...(but I can't!!) and if I want to add the 4 axis to a ? ....I think I explained....
regarding the surfaces the strategies I used are isoparametric sgr and fin scallop fin and sweep 3d...(that to say the truth is a 3d processing)..... among the many that there are perhaps I would be useful a clarification on the foreclosure. ...

what you want to do is quite complex.. try to send me the post and an e.g. of what you would like to get .. let lose the transformation of a post from 3 to 4 axes x which is a carnaire!!! the post translates what you impose from cam in machine language but also performs transformations (e.g. in lav. a 3+2 axes set the work plans but the view cad nn is as you see it in the machine.. Running the verification you will notice!!) then the post not only performs rotations but also mathematical operations! ! !

Excuse my infinite ignorance, but is it so complicated to add the rotation of the table to a post?? ?nn I always say, but a simple rotation of a cube or a divider? ....

hi, no I don't think it's so hard, I'm ventured, for the exact know that mastercam recognizes the processing plans and knowing what data pulls out the cam according to the plan in which you are enough to make the post convert them into our b or c depending on what table we have.
I'm working on it. I understand something more. I'll let you know.
