Hello everyone,
I'm a new member... I'm curious and I've decided to enroll because I want to deepen my knowledge about revit. I read some forums but I'm sure you can help me with this.
I need help...the problem is as follows: I have to place a railing on a fence wall. ..disegno the path and then under modification type-position balustrade imposed my railing; i.e: in the main plot I admit the family fence-network after that in the mountain section I decide the ke stake I prefer. all right here because on view 3d (homogeneous colors) I zoom on the fence and I see the mesh with its stakes placed according to my parameters, once instead of imposed "realistic" always on view 3d I no longer see the mesh but a panel with gray color!!! So in rendering the result is not the hoped...of the metal mesh fence not even the shadow, in its place a gray panel...
You know how I can solve this problem? ? ?
Thank you so much!! ! ! !

Welcome. perhaps it would have been better to open a post for the proposed problem; However, you must know that revit materials contain two macrocategories: the graphics and the appearance. you probably have correctly set the graphic part without paying attention to the "realistic" aspect of the material. you have to edit it and also fix the tab "look" (or appearance)

hello tristan, thank you very much for the interest!!! I agree with you that I have to change the tab "looking"...and in fact select the railing, I go on "modification type" and opens the page "ownership of the type"... at this point I analyze the window but from here I can not change the "material" of the fence so I decide to work on both "position balustrade" and on "structure of the current"... but at this point I can only block ? ?
Thank you very much
p.s. hope to have been clear enough xd

You know the name of the material applied, don't you? then open the material editor and edit it from there!

I finally solved!!! the solution was under "manage-material" or editor;) thank you very much x the help!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
