Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum but reading here and I felt it very useful.
I am a student of aerospace naming of pisa and I am carrying out a thesis on a procedure of calculation of the structures for boats.
I designed a hull taken from a cloud of cat points and then I
started to analyze it with ansys workbench.
Now I have a problem, but I can give him a sandwich material.
I have seen and read around that there are sw that generate equivalent characteristics and then use them in a material to which I give them all the characteristics, I was wondering if you knew some name of these sw and if instead you can do directly on ansys workbench... .
For laminates made up of fibres I have problems as I have been able to find programs but for a sandwich material nn so' prorpio where to put hands.
the idea that I had come was to assign to an equivalent data surface of a laminate, then to the central one the data of a core and finally to the last the data of a laminate.
But I think that ansys w doesn't recognize them as one material but as three superimposeds, so it can make me trouble.
so I ask you if you can help me by giving me lumens on sw that can do to my case or even on methods.
Thanks for the moment.
