Hello everyone
In this period I am preparing a 3d model of considerable size
for the accuracy is an area of 150,000 square meters on which I have inserted 64 single houses
in 5 types 39 terraced villas in 3 types of different roads, a golf course with pond and canal and a hotel.
all done in revit
I exported to fbx and gives me a 350 mb file
the machine is 64 bit with 64 bit view, 2 xeon 2.33 ghz, 8 gb ram and picture video card fx 1800 758 mb
I did this also because revit sees only one processor while 3dsmax works with both and the times are reduced especially in animations
(1min and 30 sec per frame against 6/7 revit)
the load on 3dsmax 2009 64 bit, at the end of the loading crashes and jumps
I tried charging the area and terraced houses with a fbx of 150 mb
and charge
in phase of testing in standard quality me from 8000 objects and 8.000.000.000
of faces and there are no problems even of times
I added 5 trees of archimodel and passed to 12,000,000 faces
made me look at 1920x1080 in 27 minutes
I think I will add the remaining to groups of objects and I don't know how many objects will be and so the number of faces I have.
Now I ask you:
any of you by experience and done jobs can tell me until what size of file it arrived to work with 3dsmax without problems considering the type of machine used?
since I started making with autocad 12 and accurender the hours for renders do not scare me and for now I have to do the pictures but then I will have to do also 3-4 minutes of animation paid aside for which I could replace xeon and add ram since the card can support up to 32 giga
thanks in advance to all those who want to answer me
