measurement unit in drawing

Hello!
I have a problem:
I'm putting on the table a particular (network) and I don't understand if by default it gives me as a unit of measurement that set in the .prt file to which I support myself or if a measuring unit is reset.
this because if I place the views and then create a table to better define the wheel asks me to insert the measurements of the table in in inches! Why?

another thing: when in the same detail I try to make an oblique section I can't do it, someone can tell me where I'm wrong?
want to make a section with the oblique plane and place it in the red space of the design

excuse my ignorance, but in modeling parts it is easy to set the unit of measurement (say more intuitive). in drawing not so much, so what do you mean by "set them in the file"?
