mention on manual disposal batteries

Good afternoon,
I introduce myself. I am a technician who works in the company for which I work with manual and technical documentation.
some of our products (lifting equipment) mount batteries.
I would like to know for disposal if there are regulatory references or, in any case, if the general indication is sufficient in the manual that the device must be disposed of according to the legislation of the country in which the out-of-use takes place.

for the disposal of batteries is usually referred, as you yourself mentioned, to the norms in force in the country where the out-of-use takes place.
the recent European legislation, the guidelines for disposal which must be adopted and regulated by the Member States, but as regards batteries, do not give specific indications for users if not the invitation/obligation to make the correct conditions, while for producers there is a requirement for diligence in production by equipping all batteries, compulsory, of a kind of identity document containing the main characteristics and in some cases of a declaration of conformity.
