Good morning.
we have a machine with a revolver moving cylindrical objects, served by a sleigh, which travels very fast, powered by a tape; The products are then received by another tape.
the machine is all carded, but above the tapes in and out you have to leave rectangular openings at least a 60 mm high to allow the passage of the pieces.
to prevent someone from entering an arm had thought to put tunnels, but the distance that should be respected would be at least 850mm from some normative extracts that were fished on the web, and a tunnel that would be astonished in our machine would be a problem.
Did any of you have such experiences?
is this minimum distance to you?
thanks for any suggestions.

Hi.
I designed tunnel shelters to protect a tape carrying 200x200 pellets inside an automated arm picking area. the distance was around 800,00 from end shelter to point of laying / withdrawal.

Hi, the distance is what you say.
you could get your machine out with those tunnels and then the final customer will dismantle them or better cut them to size or shape them to fit them into the encumbrance to close the passage between one machine and the other.
We usually do so, in our case the tunnels have very wide openings because they could pass even boxes, so if required we also use laser barriers.

in 13857. See that. 850 to prevent one coming with the arm but if the opening passes the body then it is not okay.
