I to make a mirror part use 2 systems:
on the side they select the plan on which I have to mirror the part.
insert - mirror part.
from here you can hold the left side to the right or untie it completely.

otherwise . and to me this system piaccccccce.
create a support set where you put the right part.
make the mirror component according to a floor.
inside the function you tell him you want to create the opposite hand.
always within the option you tell him you want:
- or create a separate part (and return to before)
- or create a configuration (sx) within the original part.
