hello to everyone, I would like to ask you if someone is aware of 3d solid modelers free / free. I would need one to have at home to make me 3d models, axioms and boards... for personal use, not professional, to make me work. it would be useful that it had the possibility to import and export in .stp / .igs formats for example.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you.
Hi.

in the forum we talk about it quite obviously, just do in minimum search.
you will find quoted freecad for example

Hello, thank you for the answer. yes I tried it but I don't find it very use friendly, I was looking for something a little more practical

free comes to mind freecad but is very limited for the use you want to make. I can advise you otherwise zw3d cad that is a parametric modeler of solids and surfaces that reads and writes directly the 3d models from catia, nx, creo, solidworks, solid edge, inventor, jt, step, iges, dwg, parasolid, dxf, stl, table, obj, etc. are aside because I resell it but sometimes amaze me that the version lite link I hope it's good evening.

I recommend alibre atom 3d that until the end of April is on offer to 99€. the new release is really great.

freecad is completely free...and does almost everything. Of course it's evolving so there's evidence to do.

with freecad you can model single parts, multibody parts, assemblies, there are bolt bookcases and bearings, there is the workbench for piping and structural elements, you do the fem analysis, tabled with two different modules, architectural module, special modules for gears, folded sheet and development and much more.
a collection of elaborates, a little from the web and a little mine.

mechanicalmg, mircot does not find it very practical, I suppose you're looking for something that maybe just press 2 buttons and you have all the necessary model and documentation.

great differences of procedures....for basic things are not very different from solidworks....just take your hand.

I agree on freecad excellent parametric free
sin does not have the same fortune as blender, which the other year received a donation of 1,2 million dollars from epic games, that of a real engine and furnaces,
Maybe the general motors donated millions of dollars for the development of freecad, we would see some beautiful

It's a little more complicated than that, but for @mircot can go well
In fact checking the site has been modified now, it remains free under 100k but only for starups with less than 3 years of life and less than 10 employees but for private and obedient stays free.
