simplified example:
design a square perforated plate of side 100, do mesh, define loads etc.
how do I edit directly in pcl, to change the side, bringing it for example to 120?

until geometry is simple I can do it from the command line, calling the functions "crea curve" and setting the desired values.
but if it is complex you need to edit from the session file.

at this point open the ses file and save it with a new name.

If you want to add comments, put a $ at the beginning of the line and write what you want.

I made that writing it directly on note block, so much being asymmetric geometry was simple, using pcl functions.
When I saved him, I saved him so he was like .ses.

look is very easy...go on the search for windows and look for files in .ses format
you will find the folder where patran saves them every time you open a session. are numbered in a growing way: patran_session01. or something like that.. .
open one with a known block or word pad and cover the functions you need. . .
once you have composed your beautiful .ses file you can call it as you want (preferably with a name that calls the geometry of the component, example: plate.ses, or frame.ses).
the important thing is that the format is .ses, so when you save you have to save it as "all files", not as " .txt file".
Then you go on patran and do file-play-session files and tell him.
or you can launch it from the shell with a command like:

c:\programs\msc_software\patran 2010\bin\patran2010 plate.ses
