hello to everyone, after changing my pc, now is the time of the monitor.
I currently have a crt 18" and would like to replace it with a 24".
now, having a 3800 picture graphics card with 2 hdmi outputs, is it worth looking for a monitor with such input or just a simple dvi?
What are the differences between them?
possibly which model brand recommends me with about 400€?
Hello and thank you.

Hi.

in my opinion the use of a hdmi port is not fundamental, you could use a dp or a dvi, these do not cause any loss of quality.
what I look at first when buying an lcd is the viewing angle I want as high as possible to avoid seeing crippled colors as soon as I move in front of the monitor.
Keep in mind that this phenomenon is very evident on large monitors like a 24". in the office I have all of the ultrasharp and I am fully satisfied with their quality.
the current model is the u2410 and for 40 € plus take a 27" with a crazy resolution (eye that the pixels are small and then you need a lens).
find also excellent samsung or philips for less, but I don't know them specifically and I wouldn't recommend you.
It is not fundamental, but I find very comfortable in the adjustable pedestal in every way and the integration of usb and card reader.
very comfortable also the integrated soundbar that leaves the desk without cables and crates.
I repeat: This is not what makes you choose a monitor, but it is certainly a further convenience.

Thank you for your answer.
I'm sorry for my ignorance, but the door dp what is it?
for pixel size, it's not better small, I saw hp and philips monitors with 1920x1200 and 0.27mm pixels.

but the door dp what is it?
read more here..

I personally say this: in the room I have a pc connected via hdmi to plasma TV 42" hd ready, to which they come audio + video from the computer in completely digital mode.

From the point of view of the image quality, he had no difference from the lcd monitor of the office connected via dvi.

It would probably be appreciated if I launched a blue-ray film, but with the normal use of windows, I feel I can say that dvi and hdmi are equal.

Okay, I've never heard of this dp door.
looking at the card I think the two exits are of this type, but the monitors are all doped of these inputs, the ones I saw have only the dvi.

Good day to all,
I had experience with hdmi and I can say that I had a lot of problems displaying correctly nx (which I use for work) using as so win xp 32 bit.
I changed so with win7 to 64bit (I think it goes well also 32bit) and I no longer had visual problems. I want to point out that I use a picture card and I have notanto does nothing with the hdmi but only the know that it can support it or not.
for visualization problems I mean to see icons, points, lines etc... big as the screen and say that I have a lcd screen of the samsung 25.5" 1920x1200 ... I made the idea?

dp stands for display port. is an interface already present for a while.

no one in this discussion talks about visualization problems, but monitors with acceptable quality to make cad.

in fact I'm just saying to be careful about the hdmi that works if you have a suitable so and not type of card or monitor suitable for cad
