Good morning to all, I am emanuele of felt. I am currently a working student and I am faced with a problem regarding the filling simulation of a thermoplastic polymer mold. in pennies, a mold was designed and subsequently made and tested. here begins the problem: the test has not gone to good end since the product has remarkable aesthetic defects, so a hypothetical solution would be to add an injection channel. having the mold model already made to the cad is simple and fast to add a symmetrical channel. Before starting the change, I would like to perform a filling simulation with Moldovaflow to try to understand whether it makes sense or not to make this change. my experience with the software is not so much so I arise a question: having the power channels already shaped in cad (submarine injection) I can import them together with the model and then run the mesh of the whole object (especially printed multiple channels) or should I import only the model and build the channels with the appropriate commands? I noticed that mesh does it with triangular elements while channels with beams. Is there an explanation to this fact or is it just a speech about the heaviness of simulation?
If someone kindly knows how to give me an explanation, I would be very grateful..... I thank everyone in advance!
