Bye to all,

I am a novello of algor designcheck (v.20) and I should simulate the actions transmitted by a cable on a pulley. In particular, considering that the cable transmits both a couple and a load, they are not able to represent the mechanical moment (it should be a kind of distributed load and tangent to the pulley).

I would also like to know if and how it is possible to represent a remote load compared to a surface

I hope I've been quite clear,
Thank you.

Hi.

I usually break in the two components and hang these in two distinct points so as to "simulate" a couple.

for remote loads I was suggested to create a kind of rigid connection, such as a very high elastic module part, between the loading point and the point where you want to transfer the load.
I never tried this method, maybe it works.

As far as I know, I don't think it's possible to apply moments directly, so you always have to resort to stratagems.

I think the best thing is to do some tests with the various options and compare them with something theoretical hand-made.
