I don't remember why I haven't used patran for years (since 2004...) but I think that both things you wrote are true: either use icons every time, or it takes the central text.

If the keyboard is emulable, I don't know... we wait for the intervention of some msc user.

the 2005 version is not exactly the latest !!! and I do not remember if these commands existed, however the central key is useful and I recommend you invest in a 3-key mouse even not wirless (at the cost of less than 10 coffee). set a key combination equivalent to a central key, depends not only on the application (patran in this case) but also on the operating system you use. personally, since I use windows, I never had a 2-key mouse.

otherwise use ctrl+t that exits the panel with which you find the transformations of the views/zooms, etc. that of course you use with the left mouse button.

in the 2010 version, if you have the cursor on the graphic air, use the right button to find other graphic commands (and more).
