Good day to all. I would have a problem with featurecam 15.2

I would like to work in two phases, one in bite and one on a bracket. of course the two have different orientation, so you need to use two roughs. one, in the first phase that is a parallelepiped, and one in the second that is the result of the operzations of the first phase. how do I set two crudes in the same file? if I use only in rough "grezzo" that is set at the beginning, then the processing of the second phase is not found and you have to manually enter the coordinates of the second phase.
If instead as it suggested to me in the seller I make a second file using a stl as rough, it turns out of the first phase, then I can't align it with anything during the setting of the crude and setup at the beginning.
Thank you.

Hi.

I just use fcam and I don't know the version 15 but I would set up with 1 setup for each processing phase...in your case you would have 2 setup files that will belong to the same group.

Maybe.

Once you set the rough setup, that remains for each subsequent setup. then you have to create 2 separate fm files. I've been doing this before.
1 - throw in the solid to be realized and the pitch considering to orient it correctly than the machine.
2 - imposed the starting crude.
3 - I create the various setups and processes of the case. nb: all refer to the rough.
4 - finished processing, activating setup 1 which is aligned to the crude, I execute a 3d simulation and save me the amount immedieously. except as p1 (first part)
5 - except the file as p2 (second part). gate the setups and processes performed before.
6 - Now having the solids and the slate perfectly aligned they move and orientate at the same time according to the new orientation always keeping in mind the crude, which must coincide to what will be done in the car.
7 - I'm planning the second phase... .

It's Moroccan, maybe, but until now it's the only method I like to do something working without daring to align the various bodies to the crude.

hello vdrummer, I do not answer to the discussion on the cam, as I am ignorant
on matter, even if I know it but I have never made a tool path.
My answer is to thank you for your repeated phrase " never discuss with an idiot! drag you to his level and beat you with the experience!"
makes sense in my everyday experience.
thanks gianluigi

I have this kind of problem.
I have to achieve a control caliber for a twisted shape.
My problem is that they are in z with a lot of variation if I create a single rough I have to work it very much, while I for the construction of the caliber I mount 2 blocks one a parallelepipedo (400x120x40) and a cube superimposed with dimensions (40x50x30).
I avoid so much fresare, but I can't build this initial rough on featurecam, and it seems impossible that the prog. can't do it.
Who can help me?
Thank you.
