According to me it is a problem of 'tangence' as the rib touches only along a line the cylinder.

I don't think it's a tangency problem, so that the diagonal could be enough to make the rib (see volaff file).

They are stiffening ribs, so you don't need precision. being evident that they are all of equal thickness I would quota the step, the angle and the thickness. this for the vertical x zone and the same for the horizontal one.
instead for the zone with the ray quoti a thickness and a method between quotating the spaces or the hypothetical half series
