Hello everyone, I am using sw2010 and I need to develop a body on the floor, I do not have the extensions that allow me to develop my solid that was created starting from a loft. Various programs around the web have not been of help because due to geometry I can not turn it into sheet metal and this complicates things further.
I attach the file in .igs format, if someone can help me thank you in advance.

with solidworks is not developable that object.

hi mike, I was quite clear that you could not do otherwise with sw, for this I asked help to the forum, in the past I happened to come across a similar problem and someone in fact managed to help me using other software....now I don't remember exactly what but had come out a good job, in fact I don't care about detailed calculations on the elasto\plastics of the material (which I haven't even specified...) , I't interested only a development " .

impossible, it does not have constant thickness.

thanks mike, I have already read all the posts on the topic or at least I think I have done it, what emerges is that cmq with sw, regardless of the version it is not possible to develop the models unless they are created with the function sheet, that is, using the function of standard folds obtained substantially from straight lines, it is not possible even from an embutitura crata with the appropriate tool(!), for this I was asking some volenterous blank

the first piece that comes to mind, say 1.0037...the old fe360 to understand, at the library level you could find it also with the acronym s235jr.....

I managed to create a development curve with toptron but I have to manage to export it... I'll see if I can.

You still have a way to do some evidence, don't you? Maybe cutting it laser before making the punch and the machine for the hairstyle, right?? ?

Surely no problem, and then don't worry if you need to retouch the model I will send you the account!...

I have not yet managed to export the curve :mad:
and who can help me here in the company is not present. . .
