Notebook per rhino e brazil

I have to buy a notebook for the use of rhino and brazil.
I have a budget that is around 900 euros.
whereby mainly modeling and rendering medium level (for those with high quality use a fixed), the hp notebook dv7-4010sl can do to my case?

specifications:
notebook with porcessore intel core i5 450m (2.40ghz, 3mb cache l3), chipset intel hm55, ram 4096mb (2*2048mb) ddr3, hard disk 500gb 7200rpm, graphics card ati mobility radeon hd 5650 1gb ddr3, display 17.3" hp brightview hd+ (1600x900), dvd super operating system windows 7 home premium authentic 64bit.

I think it's a nice car. But I don't know how to tell you how your fingers go with rhino. I had a nvidia in the old pc and it worked all right, with ati I don't know but I don't think they have any problems, it might be better to get in touch with it just to be sure.

the i5 processor is a high frequency dual core. for probabilmete rhino is better than an i7 (quad but with lower frequency) because it uses only one core. As for rendering I do not know the sw and I do not know if it is optimized to work in parallel. it might be interesting to inform yourself and evaluate if you spend most of the time modeling or rendering to evaluate the best choice for the processor.

I’m also buying a notebook and recommend you visit the site of, there is a very interesting promotion on xps17 and xps16, have better processors (i5 460 and 560 out in sett 2010) but the gpu don’t remember it.
cmq was not better open the discussion in the hardware section?

My little experience is that ati and rhino don't get along so well, the few times I've had problems (limited performances). But it's not that I've ever deepened this, maybe someone can bring a little more in-depth experience, it would be interesting. . .

I have a satellite toshiba p-300 f23, 17", I have 4 gb ram , card ati from 1gb dedicated hd4650 and intel core 2 duo p8600 @2,4 ghz, windows 7.

I have to say I look great. I worked with one of the 17" precision m with frame nvidia board from 512 and 4 gb ram.

between the two computers, at the graphics level, the only thing missing on the toshiba is the maximum resolution. now work at 1440x900 against the 1920x1200 of the. on some details it was better than the, but with 1200 euros less I have a computer to which nothing is missing and on which I create projects also very complex without ever causing slowing or significant impurities.

the price of the toshiba was, in January last, 860€.
