good morning to all, in the company we have a very specific case and very particular (without precedent) in which we need to use two o-ring rings (longed), of standard size 2425 (then section 1.78 - ø int: 107.67 mm) as of conveyor belts.
I attach the design of the development of the o-ring
as you can see I have two critical dimensions, the 0.44, necessary for system operation, and the winding angle of 95,6°
6.5 is the intersection between two thorns rectified by ø2.5 that lead.
we did tests between yesterday and today with what we had in stock, rings in standard nbr, but after 4 hours of continuous use they broke, of course. the load is very light, we talk about an electric scooter that turns to 30 rpm, with a pair of 1,30 nm; However the rope must be very stretched to be able to do our case, otherwise we risk not to have grip between the various pulleys and also we can not create that gap of 0.44 (which however is hypothetical too, we need minimum 2 tenths up).
realize that by calculating the internal development an o-ring from ~ø140 comes out.
Do you have any advice to give me? I would like to last at least 1 month of continuous use, 8 hours daily, 5 days on 7. what material of or more suitable could I choose? Is there anything else on the market with measures similar to 2425 which, however, is studied to convey the bike?
