Hello, everyone! !
I would like to try using 3d max studio to make the rendering of a dwg created with autocad, but when I open it I get the error in the attached image. I tried to search on the site indicated, with the appropriate internal search engine, but I found nothing. autocad is 2011 and 3ds is 2010.
I tried the same to import, but I can't work on it.
advice? ?

Hi, I'm going instinctively. ..probably in the dwg file there are "information" that 3d max fails to read, as at the end of the new parameter blocks.try to use the dxf. or delete the particular attributes in the autocad file (such as parametric blocks)
radiosity (rotator group)

Okay, thank you. then how do I put all the objects back in the scene? Is there any way to insert references to external drawings like in autocad, or should I open one by one, copy and paste into the scene?

(ps: I've seen your flickr images, they're great, as I wish I could get there...)

I don't know what you mean to put things back.
I would do so, open the design in autocad, check if there are parametric objects, delete the parameter attribute and then amounts in 3dmax, in 3dmax there is no copy in glue, I to avoid problems would use the dxf.
If you import the items individually, 3dmax reinsertes them correctly for example, if you import a house and roof into 2 different files, max will fit them properly.

It's that 3d max studio never used it... I installed the other one yesterday for the first time, hoping to directly import the autocad scene and make it... the autocad file has the dwg reference. I take the reference, in their place I put the objects not reference, except everything as .dxf and amount in 3ds, I understand well?

exact.....ri also tries with the dwg after removing the reference.
Hi.
radiosity _filippo_rotatori_

Nothing to do... Always the same error:

But shouldn't they be interoperable? ? ?

save in dwg or dxf of a previous version.... you have dwg of autocad 2011 and you want to import it in max 2010.. .

in fact I amount from the autocad 2011 to max 2010 without problems....can post the file?magari leveraging some salient parts of the project. . .
p.s.
try to export layer by layer until you find error.
Hi.

ok solved.. I posted a .rar file with the file in max 2010, in 3ds and the fbx file exported by autocad.
When you have these probes you always try fbx, I didn't think about it...the problem I think it was caused by the lights you used...in 3dmax they were seen as helpers..can you say that this caused him problems....you will see that these files fugitive.

file (.3ds;.max2010;.fbx by autocad ) http://rapidshare.com/files/431366349/documents.rar

Thank you 1000000!! !
I don't think it was the lights, because I also tried to import a single object on layer 0 and without materials, and gave me the same mistake.. .

Thank you again! !

perfect, I managed to set the camera... now I miss "only" the materials and the rendering =)

I mean... you don't miss anything (hahahahah) I'm joking... . then first you should decide what engine to make use of...if max utilities I recommend vray or mental ray that is already integrated..in more.. in the next relase (2012) will be implemented mental ray and iray (y taken in the sp1 of max 2011). .however to have an idea you could see my video tutorials at this link ( http://www.facebook.com/profile.php...corinaldo/studio-grafico-rotatori/85134288415 ) find tutorials on vray and mental ray (this is a basic tutorial on outdoors in mr)..if you want a particular tutorial you have nothing to ask.. I'm going to put some more on mental ray on how to make basic materials to make...

Thank you! ...and a material library?? I tried to find, but I didn't find much.. .
