Hello, everyone.
I'll explain my problem.
I have the model of a cinema and the huge amount of armchairs to insert creates problems with the weight of the file, which becomes exorbitant.
I model in rhino and amount in 3ds 2009.
I thought I would use my proxies, importing in 3ds a single armhole modeled in rhino, to make proxies and multiply in 3ds.
the armchair that I have is formed by multiple surfaces, is not a single object, and if I have understood well, in forming the proxy you select one element at a time, or at least I can only do so.
Am I wrong? If I'm not mistaken, is there a 3ds way to make the various surfaces a single object (I don't know for nothing the 3ds modeling)?
Thank you all!

Hello, convert the various parts of the armchair into poly. select one of the parts and with the option "attach" selections all the others so you will have a unique mesh.
