Good morning to all.. .
place here in lack of specific forums.
I recently had the opportunity to navigate a 3d model rendered in vray via 3ds and imported into a program (I think it is called opengl or something like, however freeware). it moved inside with extreme fluidity (the model 3ds is from 1500000 of polygons! completely rendered) with a joystick of the type used for video games.
I would like to get in touch with people who have specific experience in using and/or programming sw of this type for possible collaboration.

contact me if you want with mp.

Bye.
I knew that opengl (open graphics library - follows Internet definition) is a powerful graphic library that puts itself the task of interface with the hardware and providing the client program a set of primitive, more or less essential, for the development of applications in the field of three-dimensional rendering. These primitives include functions for pixel manipulation, for projection of 3d polygons and for the management of the movement of the same, for the representation of lights and colors, for texture mapping etc.
ogl is one of the most powerful graphic bookcases available and demonstrates the fact that great software houses specialized in the field of videogames have chosen it to develop their products.
there are free software such as opengl extensions viewer i.e. a utility to fully know the implementation of opengl specifications on your system and video card.

certain exatem, opengl graphic bookcases are notoriously opposed to directx and in principle I knew that they consist of a series of tools and libraries specific to management/programming graphics.
What I'm interested in is those freeware programs that are used by programmers to build video game environments.
what I have actually seen is practically a video game though the final use is not. I was impresoned by the fuidity with which it was navigating within the recreated environment starting from a 3ds model rendered with vray.
so to return to the thread... I would like to get in touch with those who have experience in sw programming/management of this type.

See you soon.
