the option save_display impostata su yes allows you to save drawing files and be able to open them in read-only, with considerable time savings at opening.
it is also true that the drawing files you can open them with product view express (free view of pro-e files)
while the option auto_regen_views impostata su no allows you not to update the model or design when you switch from window to window, also this is convenient in the case of table sets of complex models.
I also recommend disabling drawing views before saving, file recovery is faster and then you can only activate the views you need to work on.

we have made a very complex surface, copying with a laser a bark of a tree and imported with the reverse-engineer the skin in step.
now we used this skin to make an area of our part and the file has become small to manage, not so much in modeling but as previously written in the table.
to export a table in pdf or dxf takes about 15 minutes, thinks we have 18 and so...
