Hello, everyone.
I'm asking you an opinion on a bridge in my parts. It is a common bridge with ca beams, perfectly symmetrical both in the longitudinal and transversal sense.
a sign "transit ban for vehicles over 40t".
on the side there is the same sign with limit to 20t.

Is it normal that there's this difference? to logical rigor the flow should be the same on both sides.or do you think there might be some logical explanation?

Thank you.

Maybe under one of the two lanes there is a passage of pipes or cables, the resistance of the screed is lower.
I do not believe there are structural reasons

under there is nothing, you see well the whole structure. I think they were wrong to put the signs. But before correcting someone, I ask you to be certain.

Be gentle gil, give us a location or the gps coordinates of that bridge, so we see it in google earth.

Thanks :)

certainly, the link on google maps is >>>This is<.

coordinates for earth
latitude 43°57'1.34"n
longitude 12°22'0.20"e

do not confuse it with the nearby (Leontina road)

but with those images you can get something? possibly I also bring you a photo in the next few days

judging by the encumbrance of This is truck, it would look like a unique road bridge and double sense of march.

If so, by reasoning with the very little common sense left me, it is evident that it is a press error (in favor of security, I would throw away the 40t sign) since in case of forced overtaking the bridge itself would fall. . .

mah... let's say that the images are in sufficient resolution. Only I can't find the signal... maybe it's old photos.

However, if there are the optical fibers of the telecom below it is difficult to see them from outside.. .

The strange thing is in one way (the road of the truck) there is the signal of the 40ts, in the other I did not find signs.

20t's under 40t, and it looks like it's mowed on six.
But then I wonder... If this double scope is true for any reason, it's also true that there's a continuous strip, but if by chance I do an infringement and raise myself in the 20t lane while I make a surprise... Do I leave the wheels in something with a 40t vehicle launched in the race?

I'm afraid...

quiet a lot of 40t vehicles pass into the lane with 20t limit.
the point is if the signage and randomness to oppose the bridge soon begins to have damages. He wouldn't be the first on that road.

if it is really symmetrical the structure must be symmetrical also as response to loads agents.
It's a mistake for me in the signposting.
even if to be precise until we extend the different eligibility of the loads agents we could go to look for at geological level, that is where they lay the foundations that the reactions may not be equal, but on a small area (transversally) I find it a little inverosimile.
