I have to optimize 3 geometric parameters of a drawbead puzzle.
the parameters to optimize are:
b1; h and r2.
How do I start?

What is your problem? theoretically set optimization or not know what ansys keys press ?

What do you want to optimize (= maximize or minimize)?

Do you use classical ansys or wb?

have you tried to model the problem (drawing cad, loads, constraints, mesh etc)? if yes posteriest of the photos?

use ansys wb.the parameters to optimize are:

It's a puzzle for the Bulgarian test
Do I have to draw everything with catia? or inside ansys?
What forces do I have to apply?
everything must be optimized so that the sheet does not run inside the mold when the punch is lowered.

you can draw with what you want, ansys accepts almost all cad models so you don't even have to export to .stp

Anyway, I'm sorry if I'm a pig, but your description still doesn't totally define the way to follow. I throw it there: find the configuration of those parameters that minimizes the force necessary to the premier, having as bond a null shift of the sheet. In this way the unknown of your problem will be the strength on the prime minister.

admitting that it is the type of analysis you intend to do, it is complex to set it analytically. . it is best to set those 3 values as parameters, define a discreet set and make ansys process all combinations. instead of the prime minister's force, you will put a constraint and interrogate ansys about the reaction in correspondence of that bond.

I threw it there, maybe there is a foul somewhere in reasoning. Let me know what you think.

if I remember well workbench, you can draw directly in its model space, then assign to the interested values a variable and make an optimization according to the assigned variables.
Even though, I didn't understand what you want to get. .

Right. of course if drawings with the modeller of ansys, each quota can be set as a parameter; If you import the model from another cad, there are procedures to make certain quotas editable by ansys. in I create for example you had to assign to the quota a name that started for “mp” if not mistaken. .

If you do not know this procedure for catia, you should use ansys modeller
