option "follow the environment" not always respected

when I put on the table a set I would like to see how much I see in the .asm drawing was reported in the .drw drawing setting the option "follow the environment" in visual view.
in some drawings this does not happen on the contrary, if when I insert a view and some parts were (for example) transparent I see them but then, if I change from transparent to shaded a part, I do not find in the drawing the variation I have just made.

Is the view update set on automatic or manual?
you usually, for large assemblies, you prefer that the update of the views does not happen automatically to avoid losing too much time even at the simple passage from one window to another... .

the strange thing is that on some drawings everything works while on others no variation is displayed.
Moreover, the command "display component", in the drawing environment, seems to have no effect on the design....
