parameterizing parts

from a few months in the company we have "a problem", I explain we have to parameterize some parts, i.e. opening the part from a library/toolbox insert the values in order to generate the part automatically an example "similar" are the wheels dentate by toolbox that on the left appears a slab where you can insert the module values, num teeth, etc. then generate it.

Since the time available to devote to this "project" is less and less I decided to ask here if someone can direct me in a solution, I thank in advance for the answers and hope to have been quite clear.

If I have understood correctly, by parameterized part you mean a part that according to the size (for example) you are able to adapt, always for example, in thickness, hole size, etc. etc.

type if you have a x diameter circle with 4 rays, setting a part with 2x diameter you generate it automatically with 8 rays?

I begin by thanking you for your answer, I will try to explain better that maybe I was unclear, then take for example an extruded cylinder of diameter x and height z, opening the part later if you could parameterize it so as not to change each time the functions inserting only diameter and height , an example similar the screws, serrated wheels....inserting the type of thread and the height of the screw or however prefixed values generate.

You can do this with a data table, internal or external.
basically create the basic model, then through a Table you can manage the configurations.
the table is in excel format and you can use all the power of formulas. you can save it externally to the file in excel format.

If you want when inserting the part to match the value setting window, such as toothed wheels, then I can't help you
