:bekle: good morning, I apologize in fact everything if I am opening a discussion already present somewhere here on the site....but I couldn't find anything that could help me. :confused:

I'm making a home rendering, and in particular I have problems with internal lights, i.e. artificial lights.:eek:

I can't understand what kind of light I use (if reflector, distant light, dot light). and above all I care to know what parameters set to make it become, for example, a light from classical lamps to furniture.

and above all; having also set the light of the outside sun, can I also set the inner light? Can I insert a "infinite" number of lights? ?

Thank you for the kindness.. I hope you get some help out.

for that kind of lamps I would use a spot (reflector), the parameters but I can not tell you a priori; depends on the scene.

Yes, yes, the more light you put the rendering times will increase. currency if it makes sense to put "infinite" lights:wink:

I managed to put some light inside and I realized that for the intensity I have to go a bit to attempts. . What?

I'm trying to make the furniture for a bedroom... even to try the lights. As soon as I finish my photos... at least correct me if I make some mistakes.

Thanks for the moment.

Here are the first tests of internal lights. . .

- in the 00 file I set only sunlight (set in June at 12.00 pm);

- in the file to I put a dot light in the center of the room at the top (lamp intensity=200000 candles - white color=fluorescent) and sunlight is off;

- in the b file I put the same dot light of the file a; moreover I inserted it in a sort of bajoure and in addition I lit the sunlight (set in June at 12.00).

What do you think?
of course I need your suggestions to also insert other types of interior lamps (wall, plant etc....) and to know if the parameters I put can go well.

Thank you very much.

a small tip: If you have to test the lighting of a room you have to model it properly even from the structural point of view, that is, you must also model the upper insole and not let the sun enter from above but only from the windows (if there are).
Since you can no longer view the scene from above I recommend you to use cameras and section plans.

ps: I would use an omni for a bulb, or a light source that illuminates in every direction

the lack of the upper insole for this example was wanted...as I wanted to create a very simple thing to show you the final result.

as light I used the "puntiform" that I think has the same effect, as this also sends light in all directions. Am I right?

in case I also put the upper insole (how is it right that it is) how do you recommend to see the result inside the room? What kind of command can I use?

p.s.

I would also like to ask for another thing: once they place the camera inside the room....can I make this view only?? Can you tell me how to do this?

Sorry, omni is used in 3d studio but is equal

to create a view inside the room you have to use the section plans
command: _sectionplane

if you have to realize the view from above then you have to do it with the view in section.
If you want views from the inside of the room, then make the insole and press the lamps in their real position.
I generally realize the design of the lamps with its lights.
If you want more than one view, put more cameras and once you get the desired view, save the view by name so as to keep it always the same until the final rendering.
