good morning to all, use inventor 2014 and I have to create a parapet in profiles that allows me to insert it several times in a set controlling the width, a sort of ipart.
in solids I had no problem with this method, but with a frame I do not find a system.
Any suggestions?

thanks - paolo

Good morning I take advantage of it.
if parapets are made with extrusions ok
but speaking of parapets I get the doubt that you try to use frames (the same alde speaks of frames).
for my experience I have never had problems with iassembly, but with frames I think they are impossible to use (unfortunately): the frame in fact "beams" to an ipt of the frame sketch. you can make an ipart of the sketch with the various versions (dimensions)... but since the files of the individual components are neither renamed to the varying versions of the sketch nor they "transform automatically" into iparts you burst an atomic casino.
to make an example... If you want to put in a set a parapet with 3 widths using the same iassembly file you will always find the same parapet according to the last saved version.
A little tricky to explain, but I hope you got it.
n.b.: if someone knows how to solve it would make me a huge favor
to speed up a few different frames only in size I am now leaning on the instant design

I created a sketch, then I put it in a set, then I inserted the profiles with frame generator, then I returned to the sketch and turned it into an ipart.
Now the frame updates by changing the ipart. to create a copy create a replacement. I can only do this for the moment.

Hi.

a solution could be this, having already created an ipart, you can upload it to the center contained in your custom library, so the table of various sizes, becomes more manageable and survivor every time you call it from center content , if it has the same options, it remains that if you use another you can choose if you save it as standard (such as a screw) or customized then a classic ipt. I hope I could explain.

hi, I don't think you can publish a set consisting of a frame, although realized on a sketch that, he yes, is an ipart.
