part configuration (or assembly) > table setting

hi to all, use sw 18.
I need to have a side file (or together) that has 4 different configurations where each one has a drawing file connected. Is that possible?
I tried to do it and actually you can do it, but when I try to open the drawing file from one of the 4 configurations of the part, the drawing file of the first configuration and not the specific one from m wanted.
Is there any setting to set? or is it a sw limitation?

take with the springs as I write because I am checking with 2014, but nothing should have changed over the years under this aspect.
if a part or together has multiple design files it is not possible to open a specific design because the drawing file is always opened with the same name of the part or together.
In fact if when you save the design you give a different name you can not call it directly with the classic shortcuts.
if you look at the references of the part you see that there is no link to the drawings, this because the reference is only out (if you brutally change the name of the drawing file the references you do not lose any information)

ok, but I do not have the possibility to have for each configuration a different design file where the file has the same name of the configuration, because when on the side I do “open design” opens only the design to it connected with the same name that in my case is configuration n.1.

my problem is that I do not want to have a multifoil drawing file with 10/15 sheets all in the same file.

Maybe you can ovviate so that when you want to open the file ask which to open, I think you can do it by putting the drawings in another folder or with different name (excuse me but I'm not in the office and I can't verify)
