Hello.
As a title, I have some free time and I would like to dedicate it to the study (meaning summary) of the cam.
for what I saw in youtube, it seems that well or badly all cams have the same logic, starting coordinates, crude, tool library, add machining (pocket, profiles, drilling, finishing etc).
Therefore, since I work with solidworks, I found natural to match solidcam, which already after two days that I leave a little me feeling not to be ostic.
the end of this study is to have a general infarination, so that I can offer myself in some company as an apprentice and then be flanked by those who really use it. In this way, I would learn better and faster the teachings of the most experienced and would be more attractive in the labour market.
Now, after the longest premise in the world, I come to the questions:
1- solidcam is very popular?
2- is there much online material on solidcam? video tutorials, guides or books and especially forums?
3- Better learn an opensource cam?
of course I am open to all your advice.
