pattern creation, cocrete modeling 2008

hi to everyone, I'm starting to use now cocreate after the experience made with different parametric software.
I have problems in pattern definition:
- I build a classic parallelepiped with a blind hole
- I click on create pattern but it doesn't make me select the hole, neither the side wall nor the bottom...

the command guide says select the original processing in the view (ma non funziona) or in the structure list (but in the structure I have no processing!).
then continuing to read I found the possibility to create a group of faces and in this way I can have something in the structure list. However, the group is not taken correctly in the creation of the pattern.

I can't find the solution in the guide, could anyone suggest how to do it or where to go looking? Hello and thank you

if you speak a hole pattern made with the processing it does, if instead you think to do it with a spear hole traditionally (fresh of a circle to understand us) you do not. osd does not work as parametric.
in which situation are you?

milling with circle.... Now I think I understand the problem.
then in the meantime cercho the hole processing!

select elements of the set of faces
select opening or pocket
select the faces
define location references
now you have created your custom processing you can create the pattern
menu info process
select pattern
