pdf publication of various files

Hello everyone,
I need to do pdf printing of different dwg, each of which consists of a number of sheets.
it seems to me to understand that the options offered by autocad through the "public" command are two: or print each sheet individually (geting a different pdf for each sheet) or get a single file including all sheets. what, instead, serves me is to get several pdf files (one for each dwg) each of which must be understood only of the sheets of that dwg. Is it possible to do that?

perhaps using a lisp you could do but I have no idea of the feasibility and complexity of the thing
