hi to all I am new to the forum,I tried to read some posts to learn more.I use solid edge v18 and I am learning to use it in a self-taught way,I am passionate about aeromodellism and I am trying to draw my own plane.
But I can't figure out if it's the right way. I tried to make as many sections as possible and then connect them and build the surfaces.
I attach the file of what I have done so far.
I hope someone can help me.

thanks michele

Does anyone tell me if I'm using the right road or if I'm in the high sea?? ? :36_1_4::36_1_4:

Sorry!!! I did a gaf! I didn't realize I attached the wrong file, now I go home and I send it back.
thanks michele

Wasn't it pro/e? I think swx uses sldprt no?
It is true, however, I have seen that it opens as solidworks file (menu a tendon open part) "*.prt*sldprt" is not because, the file of our friend michele opens it as if it were native solidworks with so much icon of the still prune part of the first opening.
...you know what?

hello but there is no one who gives me a help to understand if I am wrong about the otherwise within the record for the number of visits/number of answers!!!:36_1_4::36_1_4::36_1_4:::36_1_4::36_1_4:

seen the result ... does not seem optimal:biggrin:

I tried to utilise the construction of the surface with blue dott and it is discreetly, but I did not understand how far you want to arrive!

Thank you very much I have seen, the problem is that by doing so it seems to me that it does not follow perfectly the contour on the side of the fuselage, in order to understand the upper and lower back. I am doing different exercises in this regard, I confirm however that all sections in vertical and horizontal must touch? !
I still think I understand that maybe it's best to do it in various pieces and then join it, what do you say? ?

thanks michele

hello but there is no one who gives me a helper to understand if I am wrong about the otherwise I enter the record for the number of visits/number of answers!
next time, however, read the forum rules well!
you entered two posts against rule n°8
8) up - the practice of responding to messages to get them back to the top of the list (see up!) is to be considered prohibited. a forum is not a chat, you need patience to get answers.
Be careful next time!
Thank you.

I'm sorry but I didn't do it to get the post back up, actually I'm not practical with the forums. I just saw that many people were reading and nobody was giving a hint.
I'll be more careful.

Hello Michael

I figured you didn't want to do the job.
However give an eye to the rules, just not to run into unallowed posts.

on visits, many look at the posts but do not know the sw and especially you are using the surfaces, which is not everyday!

hi michele, I took a quick look at your file, I can't post any changes as I have v20 and you wouldn't be able to open the files.
I would do the first tests using less sections with more "curated" profiles (especially from the point of view of the tangences), then I would use the bluesurf surface command instead of the sliding protusion in the surface environment, because it is a command that contains several functionalities.

a greeting

Andrea

thank you so much now I have installed the v20, it is in fact trying to better define the sections and the thing is beginning to shape.

thanks michele
