Good evening,
are here to ask for help on the choice of mold material to print a particular polypropylene,
the details are shells of a water pump from gardening, they are quite voluminous,
about 340 x 345 x height of 755, I asked several quotes, some moulders made me a quotation for aluminum mold, others with steel mold, did not mention the type of steel, the cost goes from 85000 euros to more than 100000,
2 covers designed without trolleys, type open and close.production of 1000 pcs annual
I asked for a quote in china and tell me that they usually make these pati in abs using for the mold a 718h steel, they tell me that if I plan to use pp it is fine a p20
if I use pc+abs steel 1.2738h
What should I choose? p20 is it right for components for pp shells? extra ask as the component is big enough we have to use a hot runner with valves in sequence and ask yudo brand is okay for you?
do you know this brand, is it used in Europe?
I thank all those who will respond from now on.
