Hello, everyone.
I have to verify the value of the kt, for a plate with two hyperbolic carvings using shell elements. is applied a moment in direction y, considering the xy plan that of the plate. use ansys apdl.
The result of the tension in the knots is a little strange. provides in the list twice each node to which the same value of the voltage is associated, once positive and a negative. this makes the contour legend of symmetric tensions.
es minimum value -2.39 and max value 2.39 but there are no points that actually have this positive voltage value

to get in a little bit more into the problem would be to understand how you shaped the audition.

from the image extract you uploaded has been inserted at least 1/2 of the model, so:
- Did you use symmetries?
- How did you apply the loads?

Maybe we can help you.

Thank you for your availability. I got it.
Since you solved, if possible, publish in detail where the problem was and how you solved so that it can be useful to those who will come into your problem or similar.

I exploited the symmetries, I shaped only a quarter of the plate

the problem for which I was not found was the thickness of the plate, I had to make several iteration until as just as it was the maximum value of the tension I found in the apex of the carving
