positioning components and creating fittings between them

I use catia v5 r18, until today to create components from 0, I need help!
Maybe the questions can be trivial, but they are creating many problems:
1)as you give the property to a single part so that when the call in assembly, already has its position.
2)We imagine having 2 parts in assembly, already in position and detached among themselves; I need to create a connection between them, to create this third part, should I take them to the table to take measures?
3)What is the function to verify that there are no collisions between the designs?

to create the parts that "self-position" you must create them with the zero of the part in the absolute zero of the axieme .
I would do a part with the piping axis and the plans where you want to delimite the connecting flanges .
then I would create tubes with flanges (each tube a distinct part) going to use flanges and axis for the tube.

if you want to collect the existing one you have to create a new part and create the axis of the fitting and then create flanges and fitting tube .

Thank you, I finally succeeded, sometimes the things you have under your eyes you do not see them!!!
