Good morning to all,
I have just entered this very interesting forum that I find exceptionally useful, I ask you if you can give me some information about a few details of a project I am following on behalf of a design studio.
the drawing that I attach to you is purely indicative just to make you understand what it is.
the problem concerns the identification of the best type of moulding for this particular one that must be made with plastic material that will be chosen later on according to the final technical specifications.
our doubt is about the realization of the internal cavities, I repeat, we did not require the design of the mold but only a consultancy for the final aesthetic form as we study mainly take care of design but for my more in-depth research I would like to understand with what system can be produced details with internal hollow forms so complex.
I have thought of souls on the ground or sand but not being made in this sector I would not say stupid so I ask for help to you experts.

Welcome to the community of Italian designers
seeing the pdf I think it will be a tough moment to get the valve with injection molding (pvc-abs-eltalon teflon etc.) I think it has a controlled thickness compared to the external surface (maybe if you attach a sez.)
But never say if we find a moldist with the magic wand
different is the discourse of souls in sand or similar things
then melts with a multitude of ferrous and non-ferrous materials
with process of fusion to gravity and also wanting in near fusion

the cost of a metal casting piece is not comparable to one in plastic (by the way quantity and size of the object? )

in plastic you can make the piece with that shape or similar by cutting in two half the piece (on the xy plane) and then make a welding
with this method you can also add thread to 2 ends if needed

the only doubt I have about the sealing of welds but I don't think there are any problems just identifying the most suitable technology by suggesting by those who produce this type of equipment (e.g. branson)

thanks to the information boys,
the piece must have a maximum size of 190mm in length, for about 90 mm in width and a height of 90-100 mm.of course they are still indicative measures except for the length that is a fixed parameter that they gave us.
for production, if the project takes shape it will be to realize several hundred thousand pieces,
but, as I said, we are a study that is simply dealing with aesthetic and design advice.
As soon as I get back from the holidays I'll give you more news, maybe I can be clearer.
